Every parent wants a child who loves the Quran. Few think about how that love is actually built — day by day, in small, deliberate choices at home.
Sit near them during class. Not to police, but to honour. A child whose parent listens quietly nearby understands that this hour matters more than the parent's own phone.
Recite what they recite. Learn the same surah, revise it together at dinner, quiz each other in the car. Shared effort dissolves the loneliness of memorisation.
Celebrate small milestones. A completed juz deserves a family halawa, a phone call to the grandparents, a written certificate on the wall. Reward what you want repeated.
Never shame them in front of the teacher. Correction belongs after class, in private, with love. Public humiliation kills the relationship with the Quran faster than any sin.
Make du'a for them by name in your sujood. They will feel the barakah even if they never know you did it.
